IT Technician / Systems & AI power-user / Builder
To the Steam Support & Valve team,
My name is Kaichi Sama, I'm 23, and I'll be honest with you: I spend my days building things on the internet — a custom VRChat asset-archival platform, a creative-studio site, Discord automation, my own Python servers. I genuinely love it. But what I want more than running my own little corners of the web is to be part of Steam Support — the support team widely considered the best in the world.
I'm applying specifically for a remote / work-from-home role, because remote support is something I already do every day. As a Level 1 IT technician I diagnose, repair and secure machines for people both in person and at a distance — and I'm completely comfortable solving problems I can't physically touch.
I'm a heavy power-user of AI tools and I understand computer systems deeply: assembling gaming PCs, administering Linux/Windows servers, scripting, networking, malware removal and security (I'm currently working through Google's Cybersecurity certificate). When something breaks, I don't stop until I know why.
One note, in the spirit of honesty: I speak English well — and when I want to be perfectly precise, I'm not too proud to lean on translation tools. I'd always rather be clear and correct than approximate. I think I already have a decent feel for how Steam works as a platform, and I'm genuinely eager to learn the rest.
I'm not applying because I need a job. I'm applying because I want to help players — at scale — on the platform I grew up with. Give me a remote seat on the best support team in the world, and I'll earn it.
